The Slightly Obsessed Photographer

"Creativity is contagious, pass it on." -Albert Einstein

When I wanted to start this blog, I went looking for a picture I could use as a cover photo. I found the above (thank you google images ) and, do to the fact that I'm slightly obsessed with DSLR cameras, thought it was a perfect fit.

Well almost perfect.

The amusing thing about it, is the fact that I don't use Canon cameras. I'm more of a Nikon person. (Not that I would argue if someone offered to give me a Canon free of charge. Hey, I'd most certainly use it!) I probably just went with Nikon because everyone else is drooling over the various Canon Rebels and I wanted to be different. I a classic example of me once again going against the grain of society. :D

The camera I currently have is a Nikon D3300, and it is new to me. I'm still trying to figure the thing out. Which includes, but is not limited to, watching lots of tutorials on youtube. My new best friend, you can learn just about anything on youtube.

But the thing really does take nice pictures, and I have been impressed with it so far. Probably been having way to much fun. But a person's got to have a hobby, right?

For lack of anything better to use as an example of my lovely camera, here is my adorable dog Bear. (seriously, is he not cute?)

With that said I really should now go spend more time on my photography skillz.

Later folks! :)

  2. Thanks for the follow (following back, of course!) It's great to come across someone who has similar interests as well. Pretty site : )

  3. Mmmmmm, photography! I've been a shutterbug since I got my first camera when I was 8, which was nearly 30 years ago. I have a Nikon DSLR (the COOLPIX P510) and a Canon PowerShot (A3400 IS), and I love them both. (The Nikon is named Diego, and the Canon is Francis. I name my cameras. And laptops.) I also have a couple 35mm cameras still, though I have to admit I haven't used them in probably 7 years. I still love them, though, and can't bear to get rid of them. (Unless I meet someone who'd like a very used 35mm SLR to fool around with...)

Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm quite enjoying yours :-) You're off to a good start!
